METAL MULE is a company founded on the experience of Paul Goulding, its much-travelled founder, who has criss-crossed the globe building up a vast knowledge of the equipment needs of the travelling motorcyclist.
In the early ‘90s Paul spent a couple of summers biking in the remote Australian Outback and then went on to travel widely with his wife Annie. In 1995/96 they ‘celebrated’ their honeymoon by spending 8 months riding 17,000 mls from the UK to Cape Town. They visited Nordkapp, the most northerly point in Norway during 1997 and then went on to see in the Millennium by riding 26,000 mls to the UK from New Zealand.
Since then Paul has set up METAL MULE with the aim of supplying fellow motorcycle travellers with rugged and practical equipment, designed and manufactured in the UK. Initially this has taken the form of the METAL MULE luggage system, as Paul says ‘when travelling everything that is important to you is contained in your luggage – therefore it makes sense to use luggage that’ll keep your gear protected and secure’. Hence METAL MULE luggage has been designed with unique features- for example strong and very secure locks, the Q-FIT ATTACHMENT SYSTEM and riveted construction allowing roadside repairs in the event of a spill.
METAL MULE luggage systems have even crossed over into the 4 wheeled market with cases designed for sports car owners, who have recognised the benefits of METAL MULE’S tough, uncompromising design.

METAL MULE is continually developing its luggage system allowing fitment to many more makes and models of bikes. Meanwhile products are continually honed and developed using new production procedures creating exactly the product our customers require.
